What Doorpost does not collect. Doorpost has no accounts, no analytics SDKs, and no ads. Your reading history, streaks, and settings stay on your device.
Microphone and speech. When you choose the read-aloud gate, Doorpost listens only while the reading screen is open, using Apple's on-device speech recognition. Audio is never recorded, stored, or transmitted. Doorpost requires on-device recognition and will disable read-aloud rather than send audio to a server.
Shielded apps. Your app selections are made through Apple's Family Controls picker and are opaque to Doorpost — we never learn which apps you chose. The selection never leaves your device.
Groups. If you join a group, Doorpost stores in iCloud (CloudKit): the display name you enter, your group membership, and the date you last completed a reading. Nothing else — no passages read, no gate performance, no audio, no app selections.
Subscriptions. Purchases are processed by Apple. Doorpost never sees your payment details.
