Privacy Policy

Flipwise is built to know as little about you as possible. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics SDKs, and no tracking of any kind.

What the app sends off your device

When you scan an item, the app sends the photos you took, the asking price and note you entered, and your selling-platform preference to our appraisal server, which forwards them to Anthropic's AI API to generate the appraisal. This is the app's core function and happens only when you initiate a scan.

Requests include a random device identifier (a UUID generated on first launch) used only to enforce a daily scan limit. It is not linked to you and identifies no personal information.

What we store

• On our servers: nothing about you. Scan photos and results are processed in memory and are not retained by our server. The only server-side record is the anonymous daily scan counter, which expires automatically.
• Third parties: scan content is processed by Anthropic (our AI provider) and our infrastructure provider Cloudflare, under their respective privacy policies. We do not send your data anywhere else, and we never sell it.
• On your device: your scan history, photos, Flip Log, and preferences are stored locally in the app. Deleting the app deletes them.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. Subscription status is verified on-device through Apple's StoreKit.

Photos and camera

The camera and photo library are used only to capture the item you're scanning. Photos stay on your device except when sent for appraisal as described above.

Children

Flipwise is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
