Terms of Use

1. The service. Bookplate helps you convert verified reading of physical books into timed access to apps you chose to shield, and to build a record of finished books. Verification is heuristic: it establishes that a photo plausibly shows a printed book page, not that any particular page was read.
2. Purchases. Bookplate Pro is available as an auto-renewing subscription ($29.99/year or $3.99/week) or a one-time lifetime purchase ($49.99), billed through your Apple Account. Subscriptions renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the period; manage or cancel in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions. The lifetime purchase never renews. Your first 7 days include the full feature set at no charge — no payment method is collected and nothing converts automatically.
3. Fair use. Don't attempt to defeat verification or abuse the question service. We may rate-limit requests.
4. Screen Time. Shielding uses Apple's Family Controls. Apple may change these APIs; shielding behavior can be affected by iOS settings, Screen Time passcodes, or authorization revocation.
5. Content. Book metadata and covers come from Open Library and belong to their respective rights holders.
6. No warranty. The app is provided as-is; we're not liable for missed reading goals, blocked apps, or indirect damages to the extent permitted by law.
